'i-Hariyali' app- a novel initiative of Punjab Government

Main motive is to increase the rate to tree plantation, decrease the pollution level and maximum participation of people of Punjab in 'Ghar ghar hariyali' compaign.
Every effort has been made to promote greenery and protect the clean environment from pollution in Punjab. In order to enhance the green environment and make it healthier, an app has been developed in the state under ‘Mission Tandrust’ or 'Mission Healthy' named 'i-Haryali'. This app was launched under the ‘ghar-ghar hariyali’ or ‘door to door greening’ scheme which part of ‘Mission Healthy’ or ‘Mission Tandrust’. People can use this app to select their favorite plants on the app with just one click, ordered and get their delivery from the comfort of your own home. This app has added nurseries from different districts which will have shows in app near the location of the person, ordering from where the order is to be placed in this app. There is a limit of 15 saplings per person.

The i-Haryali app can be easily downloaded for free from Google Play Store on your mobile phone. The main objective of launching this app is to reduce the rising pollution level and to encourage the people of Punjab to plant more and more trees. This app not only makes it easier to order plants free but also adds a condition that the plants should be planted on the ground as well as taken care of them. It is important to fulfill the objectives of ‘Mission Tandrust’ or  'Mission Healthy'. Another purpose of this app is to motivate the people of Punjab to be a part of this green campaign and to order their favorite plants at just the click of a button. The supply of plants will be ensured by the nearest nursery.

The people of Punjab are fully aware of the changes taking place in our environment. In contrast to the pace at which buildings are being constructed by cutting down trees, the pace of planting new trees has increased very little. This app will be a big step to increase the reach of the Punjab Government through this app to reach out to every citizen and to clean the environment, around them. To keep clean, reduce the level of pollution and realize our responsibility towards our society, all the residents of Punjab should come forward to contribute in this commendable work so that Punjab becomes more green and pollution free.

Now the biggest question is; How to order plants on the app ?????, you can order and avail the benefits of this scheme in the following manner –
  1. The 'i-Haryali' app is very easy to use, open it after downloading it from Google Play Store.
  2. Enter your name and mobile number on the screen and wait for the OTP to arrive. OTP will be a type of number that will be sent by message. Fill it in the space provided on the same screen. All this processing will create your login account.
  3. After doing all this, you have to select your district, tehsil and village. After entering your address you will be taken to the ordering screen.
  4. It will be a green screen with yellow letters.
  5. There are two ways you can order plants, one by location search and the other by name search.
  6. Ordering the second way, the app will automatically tell the plant which nursery has nearby and can be picked up on its own.
  7. The first way is the best way in which the Google Map will open. The red mark on the map screen will indicate your own location and the green mark will indicate nurseries.
  8. Touch the nursery from which you want to order plants and the list of plants will open. You can order the total of  15 plants for free.
  9. After selecting 15 plants you will touch the cart icon and then click place order.
  10. The next screen will show the list of plants you have ordered. On that screen you have to specify the place to plant them.
  11. After telling your order will be successful and a message will come on your mobile with the details of your order and the date of receipt of the plants. Go to the nursery on the date you can also get the plants yourself.

Be sure to contribute to this special campaign of the Punjab Government and make this mission a success by planting your share of 15 saplings.
